In this video you can see how I paint six single poppies in watercolor; in this order as shown in the thumbnail in Madder Lake Red Light, Azure, Purple, Cadmium Lemon, Titian Red, English Red. I use a bit of the loose wash technique to get a blurry background and also a washed-out shape of the flower. Unfortunately, the purple of a poppy is played back as a dark blue by the video camera. My favourite single poppy is the one in English Red. Doreen.

Materials:
– paper by VANG 14,8 x 21 cm, 180 g/m², useable for watercolor painting, white, grained
– watercolor paints by Nevskaya Palitra from the series White Nights in Madder Lake Red Light, Violet (Purple), Cadmium Lemon, Titian Red, Azure, English Red, Green
– watercolor brushes by da Vinci from the series NOVA synthetics No. 2, No. 6 round
– water spray bottle small
